It's called "Sap-Sar-Gae or Sapsaree." General KimYoo-Shin of the Shilla Kingdom was known to value this dog and took Sapsalyee to battle fields. General Kim defeated the Kokuryo Kingdom and Baekjae Kingdom in 660 A.D. COULD CHOONG BE A DECENDENT OF THIS DOG ?I`M SURE HE IS. DEBBIE AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GRANDMASTER YUM AND MRS YUM FOR CHOONG. HE`S BEEN A BLESSING AND A AWESOME ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY. HE`S NOT ONLY A VERY RARE BREED OF DOG, BUT HE`S ALSO VERY UNIQUE .WE GOT CHOONG WHEN HE WAS 7 WEEKS OLD. I CHoOSE TO NAME HIM CHOONG FROM OUR MENG SAE, CHOONG, MEANING LOYALITY, AND HE IS DEFINETELY LOYAL .CHOONG WILL NOT EAT HIS FOOD UNLESS ME & DEBBIE SIT DOWN TO EAT ,NO MATTER HOW HUNGRY HE IS HE WILL NOT EAT UNLESS WE DO. CHOONG LOVES TO PLAY BALL HE HAS A BALL COLLECTION OF ABOUT 18 BALLS ALL DIFFERENT COLORS AND SIZES & THEY ALL MAKE DIFFERENT SQUEAKING NOISES. IF YOU TELL HIM TO GET THE RED STRIPPED BALL, HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.HE`LL PICK THE RED STRIPPED BALL AND BRING IT TO YOU .that's PREETY COOL, OUT OF ALL THOSE BALLS HE KNOWS WHICH ONE YOU TOLD HIM TO GET . I SWEAR HE UNDERSTANDS EVERYTHING YOU TELL HIM. CHOONG IS MUTILINGUAL HE UNDERSTANDS AMERICAN ,KOREAN AND ITALLIAN COOL OR WHAT ! ONE OF THE FUNNIEST THING I THINK HE DOES IS WHEN I `M WATCHING AN ISLANDER GAME OR A VIDEO ON TV CHOONG WILL JUMP UP ON MY CHAIR SIT NEXT TO ME THIS IS REally funny he`ll put his paw on my shoulder and hang out and watch the game with me (best buds) its hallarious some of the stuff he does he makes me & deb laugh a lot. his favorite treat is lamb chewbones and snausages. we feed choong iams dry food & natures recipe both are lamb and rice formula. the hardest thing to do with choong is give him a bath he definetely don`t like it they say jindo`s don`t like water but yet choong loves the rain and snow he rolls around in the snow like a physico puppy. choong also likes high places the higer up he can climb the better he likes it. he likes to check out every thing, i guess being up high gives him a better view of everything, he has to know whats going on all the time ,as you could tell choong is very curious dog. choong is very protective of our family and house he is AN excellent watchdog. you know what freaks me out about choong is that when Grandmaster comes out to our house he still remembers Grandmaster, ,he goes bersek when he sees Grandmaster ,choong was 7 weeks old when Grandmaster gave him to us, he only knew Grandmaster for 7 weeks yet he remembers him,choong don`t bark when Grandmaster comes over yet he`ll bark at everyone else. well this is my bud choong like i said he`s been a awesome addition to our family and a real blessing to me and deb ,we love this sulsa puppy . thanks again Grandmaster & Mrs Yum. hwa rang sa bom nim
